This is the first Wednesday after
Easter Break. The weather outside
is damp and cloudy. Here at OHS a lot of students are anxious for the sun to
shine and summer vacation.
However, since that is a few weeks away, we are still hard at work on our
assignments.
Today in English the eighth grade
class learned more about writing speeches. We toke notes for our own speeches and started to write our
outlines. They will be due on
Friday. My speech is about pit
bulls as pets. Other speeches are
about bike riding, boys and girls in the same classroom, wrestling in the
Olympics, and girls and boys being able to play on each others sports teams.
When the third period bell rang, we
all gathered our materials and left the room. Off we went to various fourth
period classes. I went to social studies while others went to science. There is
still much work to be done before the bell rings for summer vacation.
