Homecoming
week never fails to bring out the energy in OHS students. Today was “Throwback
Thursday” for the dress up theme. Walking down the halls you could see students
and teachers dressed in clothes from the 80’s, 60’s, and even caveman times.
Some students wore old OHS cheerleading uniforms and some wore cavemen outfits.
The winners were decided at 2:25 in the gym. It’s always fun to see the
creative outfit choices for the day.
Today
in English we first quickly went over our Problem Solution Essay packets. We
talked about the different solutions and the supporting details that some of
the students had. Next we started on our rough drafts for our Problem Solution
Essays. This took up most of the rest of the period. Some kids didn’t get all
the way finish so they had to do it as homework. Tomorrow we will polish these
rough drafts.
The
rest of the week should be fun! Tomorrow is the homecoming football game and
dance. Although 8th graders don’t get to go to the dance, it’s still
cool to see all of the pretty dresses that the older girls wear. Homecoming
2014 was a success!
