Daily Blogger Feb 26th by Spencer

Today is Thursday. I woke up and got ready for school around seven this morning. In reading we are reading the play The Diary of Anne Frank. I enjoy reading this because we do not have any homework. Then we have to go to science. After science we have English.
In English we are getting ready to take our parts of speech test. I think I will do well on this test, but I am afraid because some of the questions on the practice test are hard. I will practice more tonight so I am more sure of the outcome.

After school we have a basketball practice for our tournament this weekend. The tournament is in ord. We have two games. Our first game is against Pleasanton, the other against Burwell. Hopefully, we will win.

Daily Blogger - 2-25-15

Today I am daily blogger. I wish I wasn’t but I have to. Today in English we learned about conjunctions.
In Study Hall we had a substitute teacher. While we were being good she let us play games. I believe Study Hall is the best class ever. I would also want it to be longer.
When I get home I think I will go to sleep because I am really tired.

Today in English we are playing a game. In the game we have a simple sentence. For the subject we have to use adjectives to describe it. For the action verb we use adverbs to describe it. While in English class we had a great time playing, giving hints, and listening to one another. Overall we have a great time.
My next class is math, I’m in Algebra 1, we are working on solving linear functions and the different ways to do it. I didn’t get my assignment done in class, but I did in study hall.
After study hall, which is after math, I have choir. I love to sing, it’s a great way to express feelings and get lost in music. Music has always been a big thing in my life. I enjoy my choir, I just wish I had more time for choir and a longer study hall.
We have lunch next, but I’m going to skip telling you about lunch. After lunch I have science, for science we are reading out of our book. We focused on that, I learned a lot about earthquakes and the different waves that create them.
Overall I had a pretty good day. I got my different homework and got a lot of it done throughout the day. After school I had a meeting with my mentor and we played a lot of games. The main game we played was Mancala. I won two out of three times. It was a fun day.

            Sorry I don’t have a photo.

Daily Blogger by Khobe 2/24/15

Hey every one guess what? It is I Khobe bake for another daily blogger. We had some fun today at school and at home.

In English class today we had fun. We did our DGP. and then we played Twister for a good reason. Twister was to help us learn prepositions. After that we did a worksheet as a class.

In math to day I did a really boring test over chapter 6. It was about how shapes move and specific kinds of triangles.

“Once you’ve wrestled, everything else in life is easier.” – Dan Gable
I woke up to the sound of slamming doors, people talking, and the knocking of hands on doors on this bright Friday morning. I rolled out of bed and walked to the bathroom to get ready for the long day ahead of me. Lilly, Briaunna, and I all walked over to the Century Link on the skywalk before our session was about to start. We hurriedly got to our seats and sat down before anyone had the chance to steal them.
I wasn’t in English class today, but I was down in Omaha cheering on our O’Neill wrestlers. I was very anxious for the second day of non-stop action of wrestling. The team scores were updated, and we still weren’t on that scoreboard. We all sat, watched, and cheered at the top of our lungs when one of our wrestlers would win a match that day. Everyone got quiet, as Jason Hahlbeck had to put back on his red ankle bands, as the match was not over yet. They had the scoreboard wrong, so Jason had to wrestle for thirty seconds, and he got two points winning the match for the second time. We all rose to our feet, screamed, and hugged each other for yet another O’Neill victory.

As we rolled into Saturday, we didn’t know if we were going to be coming home with a state title. We were in third, and we knew it was going to be a battle to get to number one. Pin after pin we battled to second then first by two points. By the end of Saturday we came home with O’Neill Public High Schools first ever state championship title.

Daily Blogger 2/19/15 By: Collin

Once again I have daily blogger! I know, horrible right? Either way this was an interesting day, and I am happy to share it with you. Of course most of you hate Mondays, and this Thursday sure felt like a Monday. I’m still waiting for the day when people can just download the stuff into our brains.

First off, English. Not my favorite class, but it has its moments. We mainly focused on the “the exciting life of using adverbs”, great right? After working for what seemed like hours on a boring packet we finally got the luxury to finish. Hand it in and hope for the best.

These next two days are going to be interesting. Filled with, well, no one. Everyone and their dogs have gone to O’Neill State Wrestling. Its kind of fun actually, all our classes are mostly study halls. This will sum up my week and my day, go have a great one.

Daily Blogger February 18 By Jace Stagemeyer

As I wake up this morning I hear the sizzling of bacon on the frying pan. This morning my mom made a delicious breakfast with pancakes, bacon, and eggs. Today my brother drove to school as well. I came in school and had plenty of time. Finally the bell rang, and I went to my first class, reading.
After reading, my next class was English. At the beginning of class we first started with our DGP, Daily Grammar Practice. DGP is when we divide up the sentences into different types of grammar. Next we checked a pronoun worksheet that we had done in the other class before. After we checked that paper we were given another worksheet on demonstrative pronouns and demonstrative adjectives that took up the whole class.
On the last period of the day was the prep-rally for the wrestlers. The O’Neill wrestlers are going to State Wrestling in Omaha, Nebraska. We had eight wrestlers qualify for state. There were a few videos that we watched over the wrestling season for O’Neill. Go Eagles and Good Luck at State!

Daily Blogger 2/17/15 By Taryn Strong

Happy birthday twins is all I heard this morning. Today was my baby brothers' birthday. I jumped out of bed and headed to school. When I got to school, I went to reading class. Today in reading class we watched the Book Thief because we just got done reading the book. After reading I went to my science class. In science we watched a few videos about earthquakes.
Today in English we listened to the Beetles to figure out how many pronouns are in the song. After the song we started our packet. The packet was about adverbs and adjectives. We didn’t finish the packet, but we got half way through. We also did our daily grammar practice

My school day ended in a wonderful game of catch the flag. Our team lost one, and we didn’t finish the second game, but I still had fun. My evening was filled with the happy birthday sang and laughing family. I hope all you had a great day just like I did.

Daily Blogger 2/13/15 by Amaya

Towards the end of Thursday I was dreading going to school the next day. The only bright side was that we had an early dismissal. I woke up to the high-pitched sound of my alarm clock; I literally jumped out of bed scared to death. I got ready for school, ate, and then hopped in the car.
Then when I got to school, I walked in and started talking with my friends. Then the bell rang, and I had to go to class; throughout all my classes I was so anxious for school to be over all ready. The bell rang, and now it was fourth period, which is English. When I walked in we were starting on our DGP worksheets. Next when everyone was done we finished our verb worksheets.

Finally class only had fifteen to twenty minutes left so we played a game. It was a game where you pass a pencil around, then the person with their eyes closed claps, and then the person with the pencil has to list three nouns. Once we really get going it is a blast, then the bell rang and class was over. That also meant that school only had thirty minuets left before we get dismissed for the day, and all the kids are free.

Broken legs, broken arms, what did you guys do while I was gone. Today I returned to school after battling strep throat for two days. This week was FCCLA week and each day is a new dress up day, and today is injured day. Everyone broke out their old crutches and braces. Our hallway was a site to see.
Today in English Mrs. Troester was gone and Mr. Price filled in. Mrs. Babl started off class with DGP (Daily grammar practice). Today's lesson was on verbs, we all received a packet that we would go through as a class. We made it to half way through the third page before the bell rang and everyone rushed out of the room.
It was a great day to return to school, everyone did great dressing up and making FCCLA week fun. Everyone is excited that tomorrow is parent teacher conferences and we get out of school. Then on Friday we get out at noon for district wrestling. I was happy to return to school on such a fun and relaxing day at OHS.

Daily Blogger 2-11-15 By: Tye

Another day another dollar, but forget the money part. Starting off my Monday didn’t really start out the way I wanted it to. A morning with no hot water has officially started off the worst Monday in history.
In English today we started off with Daily Grammar Practice. Both of our team teachers were gone but everything went good because she had the answer key. After this we went to working on nouns. We had to name five of each kind of noun. Once we were done with the nouns we went to finish the noun work sheet. Half way through the work sheet the bell rang. All of the kids scrambling through the room I eventually made it out of the room. After English the day went by pretty fast. I just had two more periods until lunch after history. Once lunch was done I had science and in there we watched presentations.

Basketball was a great way to end the day. Practice went well even though we found out that one of our starting five teammates is hurt so he won’t be able to finish the season. Going home from basketball practice knowing that I don’t have a lot of homework is nice to. This Monday wasn’t so bad in the end, even though I had to wait until 10:30 to take a hot shower.

I woke up to Bailey turning on my lights and yelling at me “IT’S 7:15 LILLY GET UP.” I rushed out of bed and threw on some sweats like any other day. As I hurriedly was brushing my teeth and putting on some makeup I rushed out of the house. Bailey is my ride to school every morning and he tells me he is going to leave me if I’m not ready by 7:30 so I only had 15 minutes to get ready.  That sums up how great of a morning I had.
As I opened the big doors to the seventh grade hallway I saw a bunch of kids by their lockers. As I made my way to the eight-grade hallway I saw a bunch of my friends standing in a circle. Every morning before the bell rings for first period we have a social hour for about 10 minutes. In my first period class we graded our lesson 11 vocabulary that was due today and a worksheet we got assigned yesterday.  After that we read The Book Thief for the rest of the period.

I walked into English class worried because I thought I forgot to do my daily blogger but I was mistaken. First thing we did was DGP. Then, we did our noun packet that was full of fun activates that taught me about concrete, abstract, common, collective, and proper nouns. Personal I liked doing it because I didn’t know what some of the nouns were and by the end of the packet I understood them great. The rest of the day seemed to drag on, I had a big math test I need to do well on otherwise it would drop my grade. Tonight, I am going to try to cheer the Eagle girls and boys basketball team to a big victory against the Plainview Pirates!

Today I am the blogger and man am I tired. I woke up to the noise of my mom screaming at me to get up and get out of bed, and that we were going to be late for school. Today is pj day and I am wearing my pj’s just for fun and comfort.
Lately in English we have been working on master our DGP’s and we finished blindsight. It was a movie about how blind people would stay together and go up the mountains. It was a good theme for friendship and togetherness.

Well that’s all I will write for today, for the blog. I hope you all stay safe. Don’t die and have fun. Macintosh HD:Users:madalynnhohbein:Desktop:Maddies folder:Belief.png

Daily Blog 2/5/15 Dawson Winsor

“Its just a great day” is my friends and I new motto. I started the day out checking my family link and seeing that I had no missing assignments, yes. That’s a good start of the day. In civics I had to give a speech because we are doing a re-creation of the national convention and, I am playing the roll of William Paterson. My speech was about whether or not we should revise the articles of confederation or write a new form of government. My character wanted to revise the articles of confederation, but I was outvoted so we are now going to write a new form of government.
In English class we started out doing daily grammar practice as always, it went fairly quick today because on Thursdays all we have to do is write the sentence with correct punctuation and capitalization. After that we just had a study hall. I had to re-record my science project because I forgot to press save the day before so I spent most of the day in the lecture hall with an i-pad.

Later that night I went to wrestling practice for the first time since wrestling season. Chuy was my partner we drilled until the last five minutes of practice then we played Dodge Ball. I was doing so well dodging balls left and right until little Moore who was pretending to be out pegged me. When I got home I had cheeseburger soup.

I woke up this morning not wanting to go to school. Waking up on a snowy morning, I knew I wasn't going to like today, but I grabbed my stuff and went out the door. My first three classes seemed to go lower than usual.
In English today we finished the rest of the blind movie we watched the days before and learned about theme. The theme was that nothing can stop you from reaching what you set your mind to.
The day went on and after school I went to the boys basketball in Atkinson.

Daily Blogger 2/3/15 By: Tyler Fritz

Today I woke up and got ready for school. I went to school and went into first period. We said the pledge and then after the pledge, we had a vocabulary test. After reading I went to second period.  We talked about plate tectonics and then got ready for a project.

When third period rolled around, which is history by the way, we talked about our project and what we will be doing for an up coming project. Then in fourth period I went to English. In English we watched a Blind Sight video and that talks about this group of blind people taking a stand, and they were climbing a mountaun. The movie showed my class that blind people can do Just as much as we can do.

Then I went to fifth period and got my entier math done. Then when sixth period rolled around which is math my class took a couple of notes for the lesson that we are working on. Then when we were done taking notes, the teacher handed out our assignments and we got to work. I finished my math assignment in class since it was pretty easy.

Daily Blogger 1-30-15 By: Claire

I entered school late and rushed to my first period class. In reading class we are reading The Book Thief. I like the book so far, but my sister told me the ending, and it doesn’t sound very good. Second period science is my favorite class of the day. I sit by Amaya and we usually mess around and eat pretzels the whole period. We learn a lot about cool things like plate tectonics and ecology.
When I entered the English room this morning, we instantly pulled out our DGP (Daily Grammar Practice) and started working on it. Fridays are one of the easier days because we diagram the sentence. Diagramming is pretty easy, but not as easy as finding the correct punctuation and capitalization. After we did DGP, we continued watching Blindsight. I’ve seen parts of the movie before, but I’ve never watched the whole thing. So far, I think the movie is very cool and inspiring.

The rest of the day was pretty boring. In PE we did something new. We did T25 with the whole PE group, which was hard but fun. This weekend will be pretty boring. On Saturday I have to go to my sisters basketball game in Newman Grove for Mid-states. It should be a pretty good game. Today was a great Friday!
