          I woke up this morning not wanting to come to school at all. I rushed to get ready and definitely needed to find some warm clothes to wear. I rushed from the door to the pick up and crawled in fast. On the thermometer the temperature was only eight degrees.

            In English today we talked about our patriotic essays and how to start them. We got a packet that told us the theme and the details to include. We then had to pick a main theme that we wanted; for example, your theme could be what the veterans have done to help people. After that, we filled out an organizer to help us get our essay organized and planned out.

            Yesterday was our basketball game against Ewing. We left at 4:30 and then got there and watched the 7^th grade play. They won by a lot of points. Then we warmed up and started our game. It was a really close game with us losing 30-27. Overall, it was a great day and I'm excited to play tomorrow!
