This week is sort of a short week because of parent teacher conferences; we basically only have Monday, Thursday, and Friday. I was kind of happy when I heard this because on when I got to school I was pretty tired. I couldn’t believe that state Cross Country is on Saturday in Omaha, so hopefully I place.   

    

      Today I went to school after a long weekend and went into reading which is my first period. We went over our assignment over the book that we are done reading. The name of the book is American Born Chinese. When lunch came around, I had some kind of taco sandwich. Then when practice came around we ran two miles.

After school and practice I went home and rested. Well that was my week,

            Hello there I am Kiara I am the daily blogger for today. In English today we talked about are strength and improvements. We also did a sentence writing strategy worksheet 2A. As a class we only got half way through the work sheet. It is pretty interesting how there are so many nouns and verbs.

            Today in Math we took a quiz when other people were done they would talk. It would distract me. If I had to take a test with every one talking I would be so distracted that I wouldn’t be able to do any of the test.

            In are science class Today there was not that many people so we just worked on other homework after Mr.Haveranek checked are comic life. We were all working but at the same time wee were talking. Then we were talking about we should have all girls one day and then all boys the other day.

            That was most of my day for Monday October 6, 2014. Can’t wait for tomorrow because we don’t have school. Oh, and also we do mot have school on Wednesday oh yes.

            This week was Homecoming at O’Neill High School. Homecoming is probably the best week at OHS. It is always a lot of fun. I came to school in blue and white because Friday’s theme was school pride day. At 2:25 we would find out who had been best dressed for the week.

            In English on Friday we worked on publishing our Problem Solution paper to Canvas. The Problem Solution paper was a paper that we wrote to explain the problem we have in our school about study hall. Our problem is that some kids don’t have as much time as others in study hall because they have band or choir. We also had to make our Author’s Note for this piece of writing.

            It was the last day of the Homecoming week so that means that there was a game that night. After practice I went got ready for the game. We had to play the Valentine Badgers. The Eagles ended up winning by two points! This was the highlight of the week for me and most of the football players and coaches.

That is most of the highlights that happened on Friday. Homecoming was great and I can’t wait until next year’s Homecoming!

October 1 2014 is a very interesting day for Homecoming week because there is a lot of stuff that goes on. But the day started as a boring old day because we went to reading and finished the movie The Pact for our book and studied vocabulary. Then we went off to science and worked on our project

In English we did a page and wrote about the lunch time solutions project. Math was the same as usual – doing an assignment and taking notes. In study hall it was cut short by 15 minutes - not much but I liked it. Then I went and ate lunch.

Now the fun started! We started decorating the halls with paper and streamers and every thing you could imagine. Next we had Eagle Olympics; there was lots of pride and competition between all of the grades organized. Then we still had to go to football practice; we still had lots of fun in practice. I was finally glad to go home and relax after all of the yelling and screaming and practicing hard, but it was a good day to be an Eagle!

        Today's the big day, Friday. It's the last day of home coming. Everyone is excited for the game. The starts off as any other. When I get to English I've gone through three other classes already. We work on our canvass assignments and other assignments.

         Then it comes done to 2:15 and the cross country kids are dismissed. When we get to Atkinson we wait and get ready. "Its a cold day to run" couch said, but I like to run on cold days. When it was time for the JH boys to run my arms and legs where going num. At the end I sprinted to beat a kid from knights but lost. I learned that I ran that in 10:09 secs.

         It was a good day to run and to blog. Right known I'm on my way home from Beatrice for my uncles b-day. It was fun yet boring. That's my dayly blogger. Have a good one.

            Homecoming week never fails to bring out the energy in OHS students. Today was “Throwback Thursday” for the dress up theme. Walking down the halls you could see students and teachers dressed in clothes from the 80’s, 60’s, and even caveman times. Some students wore old OHS cheerleading uniforms and some wore cavemen outfits. The winners were decided at 2:25 in the gym. It’s always fun to see the creative outfit choices for the day.

            Today in English we first quickly went over our Problem Solution Essay packets. We talked about the different solutions and the supporting details that some of the students had. Next we started on our rough drafts for our Problem Solution Essays. This took up most of the rest of the period. Some kids didn’t get all the way finish so they had to do it as homework. Tomorrow we will polish these rough drafts.

            The rest of the week should be fun! Tomorrow is the homecoming football game and dance. Although 8^th graders don’t get to go to the dance, it’s still cool to see all of the pretty dresses that the older girls wear. Homecoming 2014 was a success!

To day is the football game against Anwworth.  Where ready to hit them in the mouth coach b has faith in us to bring back a win were all pumped up. All the football players cant stay still in class now it now the time we all strap up we look sharp in are jersey  and when we walk out in a group we do stretches the we hit them straight in the mouth and throw them around in the whole game then it was the last quarter and the last few seconds the hallenback caught a pass and soared a touch down
